This is a Vincent Valentine Fanfiction part 1...
You rode on Fortress, holding her reins tight as you entered the sleeping forest.
Your brother always told you that you should avoid this place. But it looked so beautifull! It's light glowing tree's gave a mysterious look on the forest.
You were riding over a path, searching for a place where you could sit down to read your book in silence.
"Come on, Fortress." You said to her as you made her go a little faster.
Fortress made her way through the tree's, coming to a rest by a beautifull lake.
"This is wonderfull. Take your rest, Fortress." You said as you got off of her, letting her drink some of the water.
You pulled your book out of one of the pockets on Fortress's saddle and sat down next to a fallen tree.
You opened it, going through the pages after reading every single word that was written.
You loved these books. Books written in fiction with a mysterious hint in it. Books with fantasy, where you could lay your dreams and thoughts in.
You drifted off with your thoughts, getting really into the book. You didn't even noticed it when someone was watching you...
You kept reading the pages untill your book stopped. You closed it, looking around to find Fortress in a deep slumber.
You smiled, walking over to her as you kneeled down, softly stroking her feathers.
She woke up, standing up as she looked down at you.
You kept smiling, petting her nose as you looked at your beloved Chocobo.
You walked to her side, putting the book in it's pocket as you mounted Fortress.
"Let's go home, Fortress. I bet that you're hungry!" You said smiling as you made her go in a slow run.
You looked around, not seeing why your brother was so afraid of this place. Or why he was afraid when you were in it.
Ths place looked beautifull. It's name was it too.
The sSleeping Forest. What could be wrong with that?
You stopped Fortress as you heared a little girls cry.
You got scared yourself, finding it not pleasent to hear a scream in this forest.
Nevertheless, you turned Fortress and headed to the place where the sound came from.
You got out your bow and arrows, that you always had with you.
You didn't really liked the thought of having them, but your brother wanted you to have something to protect yourself with.
The sight of a young girl and a young boy came into your reach. You saw the young boy protecting the girl from a beast. Your brother told you once that these beasts where called shadow creepers. Well, you found them creepy alright...
You stayed out of sight, pulling up your bow and an arrow.
You were lucky that Tseng had teached you how to use this thing. You first refused it, but now you were glad that he did.
You pointed the arrow at the shadow creeper and it hit it in the leg, causing it to take it's attention off of tose two young ones.
It turned to you, letting out a horrifying sound that scared you.
You quickly rased your bow again, and shot another arrow in it's other leg.
You just wanted to wound it, not kill it.
And it seemed to work.
The shadow creeper took of, limping on two legs as it snarled to you and Fortress.
The two young ones must have noticed you, as they now ran towards you.
"Thank you!" The young girl shouted as she hugged your leg, that was hanging down.
"Yes, thank you." The boy said smiling at you.
You smiled back at them, as you got off of Fortress.
"Fortress, lay down." You said to the Chocobo. It obeyed and layed down.
"My name is Bella. Are you lost?" You asked, thinking that you could trust these children. They looked harmless after all.
"Yes, we are." The young boy spook up. "We live in Midgar, Seventh Heaven to be exact." He said petting Fortress.
"Will you take us home?" The little girl asked you, staring at you with big, puppy, dog eyes.
You laughed softly, nodding your head as you motioned for both of them to get on Fortress.
They did and Fortress stood up. You looked at the two young ones, the little girl in front and the boy behind her, as you mounted Fortress, sitting behind the boy.
"Hold on." You said before grabbing the reins of Fortress her bridle, and going into of slow run.
You kept looking around as Fortress run down the path, feeling the eyes of someone burning in your back.
You were being watched.
You made Fortress go a little bit faster as you got scared a bit. You didn't showed it though, you didn't wanted to scare the little children.
You saw the end of the path coming near as you could see the bright sunlight.
You sighed in relief as you went through the entrance of the sleeping forest, letting the beautifull light glowing tree's behind.
But you could swear, that you saw something red leaving the forest too, the same time you did...
The rest of the ride went pretty well.
You had found out that the young girl's name was Marlene and the young boy's name was Denzel. They talked to you the whole way to Midgar, and you enjoyed the sounds of their little voices. Happy and cheerfull as they both laughed the entire journey.
After awhile you reached the entrance of Midgar and you rode down the streets of Midgar.
"There!" Denzel suddenly shouted as he pointed at some building.
You slowed down Fortress, taking a better look as you saw that it was a bar.
"Are you sure?" You asked, being unsure about leaving these kids at a bar.
"Yes, that is our home!" Marlene said happily.
You nodded, getting off of Fortress as you told her to lay down so that the kids could get off.
"Stay here." You said to Fortress as you walked in with the kids.
"Marlene! Denzel!" Some woman shouted as she ran over to the children, hugging them both. "I was so worried!"
"Tifa! Oh, it was so scary! Me and Denzel were out in the forest, and then this monster came out of nowhere attacking us! But then Bella saved us and got us home!" Marlene said as she took your hand, pulling you over to meet this Tifa.
"Hello. My name is Tifa, thank you for saving them." She said nicely to you, extanding her hand.
You looked at it and gave her a small smile. You extanded your own hand too, shaking it slowly.
"Nice to meet you." You said softly as your eyes wondered off to the ground.
"Would you like something to drink? As a thank you." Tifa asked you as she pulled you to a chair, sitting you down.
You slowly nodded your head, not wanting to be rude, and glanced around the bar.
You had to say, for a bar it did look cozy. Pictures hanging on the wall made the bar look more family like.
Tifa brought you some water as she sat down next to you, staring at you.
You felt uncomfortable, with Tifa staring at you like that, so you decided that it was your time to go.
"Uhm. Thank you for the water. But I need to go." You sat as you stood up, your eyes fixed on the untouched glass in front of you.
"But you havent even drank it yet!" Tifa said as she stood up to, smiling at you.
You smiled back, your eyes wondering off to a corner. You could swear that you just saw something move.
"What's wrong?" Tifa asked you as she followed your gaze, staring at the same dark corner you were staring at.
"Nothing... I just thought that I saw... No, never mind." You said before giving a small chuckle, thinking that Tifa must think that your stupid right now.
"Oh, I see!" Tifa suddenly said as she gave a chuckle. "Vincent, show yourself!" Tifa said as she putted her hands on her hips, glaring into the dark corner.
You looked at her like she had gone crazy. Was she now talking to a corner?
You jumped and let out a slight gasp as someone appeared from the corner, staring at you.
You restrained yourself immediatly and looked at the person who just had come from the shadows.
Your breath was taking away from you as you stared in those eyes of his.
So crimson, so mysterious. They were filled with mystery that was yet to be discovered. A beauty that still has to be reveilled. A past that wants to be forgotten, but can't.
The more you looked into those eyes, they more you felt uncomfortable. Those eyes seemed to scan your own too, just like you had done with his.
He tried to come into your mind, searching through it, trying to find your own story.
You wanted to pull your gaze away, but his eyes just kept you in place, making you forget about everything else, and letting your mind lay wide open for him to be discovered.
"Bella?" Tifa asked you, bringing you out of the trance he had you in.
You blinked, seeing him blink too as you both looked at Tifa.
"I have to go now..." You said softly, giving her a small smile.
"You're going?" Marlene asked you as she tugged on your dress.
You smiled at her, nodding.
"I don't want you to go! You're my friend!" She said on the verge of tears.
You just had to smile at seeing how innocent she was. You bent down to her height and patted her on the head.
"Maybe I could come... tommorrow. If that's okay with Tifa." You said to Marlene, who abruptly turned around to look at Tifa with her big, brown, puppy, dog eyes.
"Can she, Tifa?" She asked with her sweet little voice.
Tifa laughed, nodding her head as she patted Marlene too.
"Of course she can." Tifa said as she smiled to you, while you got up.
You nodded to both of them, before standing up, and walking to the door.
"Bye." You said softly as you stole a quick glance of the one named Vincent, giving him a small smile before you went outside.
You closed the door, sighing as your hand left the knob.
Fortress came over to you, as she motioned for you to get on. She must have been eager to go home.
You smiled as you got on, tapping your heels against Fortress's sides to let her go in a slow run, heading to home.
